Some Questions on a Carbed 5.3

So im looking to do a Carbed 5.3 in the Project Mustang.
Looking at keeping the stock longblock, Adding a cam and springs, And a carb.
Looking to also spray the motor about 150 maybe more.
What would you all reccomend for a carb as well as CFM.
And what camshaft??

I would do a custom grind (I'm currently talking with Lloyd Elliot regarding one) for the cam. You could most likely get away with a decent 700 cfm carb, but I am not expert. I planned on running a 750-800 with a custom grind in an ls1, and ported 241s with custom LTs plus a 150 shot.

i would recommend mill heads, thinner gasket, gt11 cam and 650cfm carb. i reccomend the street hp line. those carbs are easy to work with and require almost no fine tuning

I had a 700dp on my motor with milled heads and the 02 Z06 cam. Took a bit of tuning but it was very responsive. 650 is probably better suited to a na 5.3 though. Mine was gonna be blow thru turbo.

Hang in there. I think the accesories will take off quite well. Esp if you can undercut the price of the others currently availible. Being able to use cheaper ps and alt will help too.
I really liked the 5.3 it was a great motor. I think if I had the t-56 behind it I wouldnt have gotten rid of it. But I had the oppourtunity to have the 6.0 and the t-56 so I kinda let my smaller brain do the thinking and pissed alot of hard work into the wind. Oh well its almost done now...

A 5.3 won't require much carb, prolly looking at something like a 600-650 cfm.

A 750 with a Torqer V2 would be my bet, that cam would make the carb easy to tune, a smaller cam will respond with a 650 they way you would want.
